Dear Scandinavian
Society Golfers,
Another season has
come to a close with the successful hosting of the Danish Golf Day
on 31 May 2009. On behalf of the SSS Golf Committee and its members
we wish to extend a big thank you to all the sponsors of the past
season. Without the sponsors our golfing experience in Thailand
would not be as exciting and fun as these friendly tournaments have
turned out to be over the years. We wish that as many as possible of
the sponsors have the opportunity to continue to host and support
our SSS Golf Tournament events in the coming season.
The incoming SSS Golf
Committee wishes to congratulate the outgoing Committee for a job
well done. It is sometimes a time consuming and somewhat difficult
task that the Committee members do on their spare time without any
compensation apart from the joy of playing golf together with other
SSS members at friendly competitions at some of Thailand’s best golf
courses.
We would also like to take
the opportunity to congratulate the season winners of the MVP and
the lowest average putting score, Mr Kristian Wensell and Mr Juha
Saarinen respectively.
The incoming SSS Golf
Committee has been set up with a mix of SSS members. There is
perhaps no better representative for the SSS Golf Section than Mr
Kristian Wensell as the ruling MVP, which is why the Committee has
elected him as the Golf Captain for the 2009/10 season. The
Committee also consists of Ms Barbro Karlsson, Ms Kob Stöve, Mr
Jonny Axelsson and Mr Kaarlo Laakso, so you will see us at every
tournament during the coming season doing various tasks.
Finally, the Committee has
a request to convey to the members of SSS. We would very much like
to receive your comments on tournaments, courses, paring of flights
or any other issues you may have views on, in order to improve the
golfing experience with the SSS. You may send these comments to our

Perhaps we cannot
accommodate every request or proposal but we will strive to take
aboard your comments to the best of our ability.
Looking forward to see you
swinging your golf clubs at the SSS golfing events during the
2009/10 season and please remember to inform any Scandinavian
golfing newcomers you may come across about SSS and its golfing
section. May we wish you all an enjoyable summer break wherever you
chose to spend it.
